May class theme: Creativity for Self and Soul
During the month of May, we will focus on how the creative process can facilitate self-knowledge and connection to spirit. Participants will be offered prompts and guidance to create images and expressive work that reflect their inner selves.
Each class will have a different theme and materials for collage, drawing and painting will be provided. Some possible themes include: creativity and imagination, the inner critic, grief and loss, dialogue with the soul and creative goal setting.

June class theme: The Art of Taking Risks
Creativity is all about new ideas and innovation but you can’t get there without taking risks. Sure, learning technique is an essential step for all artists, but if we stop there the art becomes stale. This class will guide you through exercises to think outside of the box, to push boundaries and take risks. Each class will be unique but connected to the theme. Together we will explore ways to take risks in subject matter, composition, color combination and texture to make the ordinary extraordinary. Appropriate for all levels.

Thursdays 6:00 – 7:30 pm

Creativity: many of us feel it is as elusive as catching the wind. We desire its presence in our lives but don’t know how to ‘catch it’ as it were and make it an integral part of daily living. We aspire to a level of expertise but cannot imagine how to achieve it. Our August classes are designed as a complete class in the creative process. Attend one or all eight and get your creative mojo going.
