Bringing Creativity to your Photography – Photo Rx
October 22 @ 10:00 am - 11:30 am
Are you unhappy with the way your photos come out? Do you wish you had a more creative eye or are you struggling with the technical aspects of focus or exposure? Here’s your chance to get some one-on-one help from a pro. Literally, from Apro . . . Paula Apro. Paula has been leading creative photography workshops here in Rockland for the past several years and during this member class, she will be sharing her many years of shooting wisdom. Please bring some samples of your work for a group critique. Bring both photos that you are happy with, as well as some that just didn’t work out. Learn what you can do to improve your shooting so that you can be happier with your photos. Understand what might be going wrong in camera and learn simple techniques to improve your shots in challenging conditions. In addition to the group critique, we will also spend some time practicing our creative shooting. Please bring your camera to class along with your photos (either printed or on a memory stick or card).
This class is a drop-in class: free to members and $20 for non-members.
About the Artist – Paula Apro
Paula has been shooting professionally for over a decade. She is one of the co-founders of the Art Loft and runs Maine Photo Adventures, where she offers multi-day photography workshops. Paula’s latest passion involves finding art in everyday objects and sometimes distorting reality to transform these everyday scenes into interesting works of art. She has trained her eye to see things with a new unique perspective and uses her camera as a form of her creative expression. Through the magic of her camera, she manipulates light and color to result in surreal abstract images that look more like paintings than photography. See some of her work at www.paulaapro.com.
