This class is all about creativity and learning how to compose interesting photos. Don’t let your limited knowledge of camera settings and exposure techniques scare you off from improving the look of your photos. No matter what kind of camera you are using (DSRL, Point-n-shoot, or a phone), there are still some tips and tricks that can make your photos stand out in a crowd. Attend this fun class to be inspired and practice shooting objects in a fresh new way. Class time will include a short lecture, some fun exercises and time for discussion. Please be sure to bring along a camera (phones are perfectly OK).
This class is a drop-in class: free to members and $20 for non-members.
About the Artist – Paula Apro
Paula has been shooting professionally for over a decade. She is one of the co-founders of the Art Loft and runs Maine Photo Adventures, where she offers multi-day photography workshops. Paula’s latest passion involves finding art in everyday objects and sometimes distorting reality to transform these everyday scenes into interesting works of art. She has trained her eye to see things with a new unique perspective and uses her camera as a form of her creative expression. Through the magic of her camera, she manipulates light and color to result in surreal abstract images that look more like paintings than photography. See some of her work at www.paulaapro.com.
