For the March ‘Art Social’ class, Kim will teach us how to draw a lovely garden of flowers using ink pens and watercolor pencils.
You love art and really enjoy creating on a deep level. But perhaps you are thinking you can’t draw or paint. Well, we have the perfect solution – Art Social!
The Art Social class was created using simple techniques that everyone can do, no matter what your previous experience with drawing. We wanted both those with no drawing experience as well as those with an art background to be engaged and create a beautiful piece that they could give as a gift or keep for their home. We will create a work of art in just 2 hours, you have the option to make a card or two for sending or a piece to frame.
We will enjoy a relaxed atmosphere and create together, putting our own little spin on our work. Feel free to bring along your own wine or beverage. Light snacks will be provided.
About your instructor – Kim Nicoll
Art has been a cherished part of my life since I was very young. In my dad’s workshop as a child, it was exciting to find scraps of wood, pieces of copper wire, nuts & bolts, anything available to create! I have enjoyed exploring different mediums from watercolor, soft pastels, sewing, knitting…the options for creative expression are limitless. I’ve always been fascinated by art therapy and truly believe every person has a need for creative exploration even in their busy lives. It’s highly beneficial for our overall health. It’s my desire and privilege to share with our community my passion for art and help you explore your creative outlet.
