We all have stories to tell, and sometimes pictures speak louder than words. This workshop is about who we: our dreams, our life journey, our loves, our goals, where we have been, where we are going. And collage art is an amazing way to explore these different sides of ourselves.
We will begin with a quick and easy introduction to what collage is, and the very simple basics of making art this way. I’ll share some examples for you to see how many ways others have used collage, and I’ll do a demonstration so you can see and ask questions about the process.
Then, working with the theme of ‘Who I Am,’ we will make collages that include self-portraits, life journey, and soul maps, to be defined by how you feel. We’ll take time to pause and share, which helps us focus, and connect with ourselves, the source of what we make.
This is a pressure-free zone. No experience necessary, just your innate spirit of adventure and fun. All are welcome.
You’re welcome to bring photos, magazines, any kind of printed material you want. If not, there will be plenty of supplies on hand.
There will be a 40-minute break for a meal, please bring a bagged lunch.
