Cure for cabin fever: Still life photography workshop

March 4, 2017 @ 10:00 am - 2:00 pm

- 60$

Still life photography is an amazing artistic medium. Even while the chill winds of March are blowing you can still practice your photography skills indoors. Instead of going out in search of the perfect shot, we will learn to set up a beautiful still life and then create moody edits with editing software. An array of props and flowers will be available to play with. A guaranteed cure for cabin fever!

Has a photograph ever stirred your soul? Has a scene ever begged to be etched into memory? Have you ever reflected on the role art plays in your everyday life? Still life photography is about more than fruits, flowers, and styling; today, still life photography is mindfulness, playfulness and, yes, stillness. It is a medium that encourages the creative process, that leads artists to a place of emotional healing and growth. Our very being compels us to create. It is the means by which we make sense of the world. Each creative endeavor or personal expression brings clarity and sight, revealing who we are, and who we were meant to be.

Suitable for beginner to intermediate photographers. Class is limited to 5 persons to allow for personal instruction. A light lunch will be served.
