Screenprinting is a great way to put your unique image on shirts, tote bags, patches, pillows, and more. In this one-day workshop, Angela will guide you through the screen printing process from start to finish, and you will leave with your own 8” screen print and all the knowledge to keep on creating and printing! Angela uses methods and materials that keep costs lows and the process fun and fast. This is a great way to make some amazing holiday gifts!
All materials will be provided, including fabric for printing. If you want to bring your own shirts or material for printing, please do! There will be a few winter-related images ready to copy (stars, snowflakes, reindeer, candles etc), but you are welcome to bring your own drawing or ideas. Should you want to design your own image, keep in mind the image should no be larger than 6” and should be relatively simple. If you have your own design consider coming in a half hour earlier or e-mail the instructor. Words, quotes and short lines of poetry work well, too. You can contact the instructor with ANY questions at firstname.lastname@example.org
The workshop begins at 10 am, with a lunch break while the screens dry. After lunch, you will be able to print your image! Snacks will be provided. Angela wants ANYONE interested to participate – if the cost is too high for you, considering emailing Angela for special consideration.
About Your Instructor – Anglea McIntyre
Angela McIntyre finds a lot of joy in the process expression and creation, and wants to share the fun with you! After studying media arts at Antioch College, she began working on boats focused on experiential education. She washed ashore in Rockland several years ago and fell in love the area. A friend taught her to screen print seven years ago, and she’s been printing and experimenting ever since!
