Mixed media is an easy way for both the “artistically challenged” and “artistically gifted” to make meaningful art. Each week we will create a new piece of artwork, either sculpture, collage or expanded canvas, with found objects combined with your own art.
For this Found Object Sculpture class, we will breathe new life into old objects. Bring your old toys, household objects or anything else that speaks to you and create small sculptures.
This class is a drop-in class: free to members and $20 for non-members.
About your leader:
Amy Wilton is a photographer and mixed media artist living in Hope, ME. Always aware of light and its quality, its energy, Amy has the ability to make a connection with the subject and tell a story. Amy loves to teach, whether it’s photography, rowing or anything else, including mixed media. Recognizing her gift of creativity, she uses mixed media to explore and express emotions. It is through this that she has learned to trust herself, her art and her purpose. She has an MFA from Maine Media College and has been a photographer in the Mid Coast area for the past 21 years.
